Her arrival wasn't supposed to be a secret to those she was visiting, but during such times, who really knew what could happen to messengers? Niira could only hope that the Lady Galadriel had gotten Teolil's message that his granddaughter was being sent temporarily to Lothlorien. Niira wasn't given many details, but she suspected that this whole trip was three-fold: 1) get Niira into a different bit of scenery; 2) allow Niira to pick apart any brains of healers in a different community; and 3) (and this was a long shot) get Niira to toughen up a little. Maybe if she was in close proximity to a very important female elf, Niira would get a little tougher skin. Not likely. Even now, Niira was riding with one other, an elf who had agreed to take time to escort her because of her hesitation to travel. Niira loved being in other places, seeing new people and all of that, but the actual travel part was a bit less than terrifying for her.
Even with an escort, Niira couldn't help looking around, eyes wide and senses alert, just expecting something to go wrong. Hadn't that been how her father had passed? Something had happened while outside of Rivendell and her father had returned with injuries that they couldn't fix.
Horses made the journey faster, but it still seemed like days upon days before they reached the land of Lothlorien. Immediately, Niira dismounted her horse and began walking on foot through the trees. She wasn't exactly sure where she was supposed to go and her escort seemed content in letting her make whatever mistakes she did. Well, she had to find the Lady sometime. Surly no one would let her wander around out here for too long. The border was supposed to be guarded anyway.
ooc: sorry it's short. I don't know what's wrong with my brain right now. lol[/size]
