likes,
[x] her sword - while Eran is far more talented with a bow than a sword, she does still love the blade as it was made special for her. Elven made, Sulbein, meaning beautiful wind, has a slightly curved blade and a black handle inlaid with silver. along the blade, it has written in elvish script 'until lambs become lions'
[x] her bow - Eran's true talents are with a bow. she is a firm believer that any moron can swing a sword, but it takes true talent to shoot someone in the eyeball from five hundred feet. her own bow is willow so it is springy but strong, a long bow that is nearly as long as she is.
[x] her horse - her stud, Aran, is a big beast of a war horse. black and white, he stands nearly half a foot over her head at the shoulder and weighs close to thirteen hundred pounds. originally made to carry men in armor into battle, he has found a loving and devoted master in the little elf.
[x] quiet time - Eran never has really adjusted back to being around people after the death of her family. she grew up in Rivendell, surrounded by other elves, but was always very withdrawn from those around her.
[x] books - Eran is a reader. while she is in rivendell, she spends her time reading. she often uses it as a distraction from having to be around groups of other people, and as a way to keep her sane and not wishing to cut the head off of the first person who confronts her.
[x] night time - to Eran, everything looks better at night. the world is a horrible, messed up place and the darkness of night covers how horrible it actually is.
dislikes,
[x] loud noises - she prefers the silence
[x] crowds - she does not do well in a crowd and prefers solitude
[x] being the center of attention - Eran is not shy, per-say, she just prefers to stay on the "down low"
[x] war - she believes it is a necessary evil but still should be avoided if at all possible.
[x] sauron - them an has turned middle earth into complete disarray. kind of a given
strengths,
[x] high pain tollerance. Eran is able to stand a great deal of pain by just gritting her teet
[x] her intelligence. Eran has always been very book smart, as she as given a very cultured environment in her childhood.
[x] common sense. Eran's intelligence goes beyond book smarts. she, generally, has the ability to think things through and be very quick on her feet.
[x] she's very quiet. this gives Eran the perfect opportunity to observe and learn people and situations
[x] she learns quickly. although this is an advantage of her intelligence, she loves to learn, and throws her heart into learning new things.
[x] her weaponry skills. Eran knows how to use a variety of weapons, and all of them she knows how to use very well. it makes her rather dangerous
weaknesses,
[x] she does not trust easily. she refuses to let anyone on, and has no support system.
[x] she has a quick temper. though she is usually very quiet, when Eran explodes, she literally explodes.
[x] she has a very blunt tongue. simply put, when she does speak, she doesn't have a lot of tact.
[x] she is very cold, which can put a lot of people off.
[x] she's a loner. not many people know who she is or where she goes. so if something were to happen to her, no one would know to look for her.
[x] her arrogance. Eran can come off as arrogant and rude. it's part of her aloof nature, she, as an elf, believes she is entitled to be as rude or as tactless as she wants to be.
fears,
[x] being tied down
[x] disappointing the memory of her family
[x] the end of middle earth
dreams,
[x] to see all of middle earth
personality,
Eran is very much a no nonsense creature. Though she can be playful, fun, and even a bit flirtatious, she is very much duty driven. In most aspects of her life, honor to her family and honor to her race comes before making herself happy. Duty before personal satisfaction. Though she has chosen the path of the warrior instead of a wife and mother, she does everything and nothing without knowing it would honor her family name, or at least what is left of them. Because of this, she can come off cold, callous, and even a bit harsh.
Despite the fact that she is a natural charmer, Eran knows her place. She is a warrior, trained to fight and to kill. She often masks who she truly is behind a facade of indifference and stony coldness. If she needs to draw a weapon, she will do so without hesitation, if it is to defend herself or someone she holds close.
If you get to know her, you'll find a nice girl in Eran. Indeed, she is not the bitch she seems to be all the time. Yes, she is blunt. She'll tell you what she thinks without showing any kind of tact and all, friend or not. She'll be blunt, and sometimes she will seem bitchy because of it, too. But that is just how she is. She's not the kind to shut up just to seem nice. If you annoy her, be sure she'll tell you! If you are her friend, she will love to make you laugh. She will be there to hear you whine about stuff and she'll try to comfort you if something goes wrong, but due to her bluntness and lack of tact, she probably wouldn't be much help. Not like she doesn't try, though.
Eran has a sharp whit and a smart mind. She’s extremely intelligent and will use it to her advantage. She is almost never at a loss for words, and has a brash tongue that can sting. She’s a good liar and a good actress, and is often well known as the girl with the perfect poker face. She can control all of her body’s reactions very well when she lies, having become so comfortable with it that her pupils don’t dilate and her pulse doesn’t speed up. And, she has a mannerism of speaking that can lead you down the path to hell and you’d think she’s taking you to heaven in a hand basket of silk.

history,
"
My story? Well, what is it you wish to know? I fear that it is not as excited as the tale of most people as old as I am. I was born to a well bred, well off family of elves in Imladris in the winter . As a member of a lineage who had always been known for their skills with weaponry, I was all but born with a sword in her hand. I was trained from a young age in swordsmanship, archery, swordsmanship, and hand to hand combat, where I proved to be extremely intelligent and picked up quickly on all the skills offered to me. I loved weaponry, and while most girls my age were in pretty dresses and playing in the flowers, I was in pants practicing my archery.
As the only child of Arumiel and Evande Linwelin, who were in a position equivalent to monarchy among the humans, I was expected not to be a warrior, but to marry young and bear heirs to my title. However, most of the young beaus were intimidated by my pensive nature and brazen tongue. I never received any proposals for a union, which did not bother me at all. I have a warrior's heart, and was trained a warrior, and I know duty falls before personal satisfaction. While my parents set about trying to bring me to the more feminine side of things, I rebelled and continued my training with more "manly pursuits" such as weaponry, horsemanship, ect.
As soon as I was old enough to convince my parents I could make my own decisions, I decided to see the world outside of the home I knew, and began my travels through Middle Earth. At first, I stayed only within the elven countries and visited with my kin there, as I knew very little of humans, and that fear of the unknown stayed with me. But as time went on, I read up on the other races and I became more comfortable with traveling outside of the lands I knew and began to visit the countries of man and of hobbit as well.
I loved the culture it provided to me, as well as the education I received from it. It was more than I could ask for or wish for, and far more than I would have recieved had I stayed in Imladris. My travels took me everywhere: Rohan, Gondor, Harad, the Shire, as far as my horse could take me and sometimes even further. But I have always found the Shire and the lands of the Hobbits among my favorite places. While most underestimate the hobbits, I find them fascinating. However, in contrast, I do tend to avoid them for the simple fact that, among the Halflings, I am rather tall, which I am not used to as among my own people, I am petite more on the side of short. It takes me completely out of my element.
I traveled abroad for several years until letter finally reached me, while on a tour in Mirkwood, that my mother was ill, and was intending to leave for the Undying Lands, having tired of Middle Earth as it was. I immediately returned to Imladris to be by my mother's side in the end. I watched her wither away for nearly a year until she passed on, leaving both father and daughter behind.
My father threw himself into his work, and I left once more to continue my traveling. I traveled for several more years until I returned home to see my father off to follow my mother into the undying lands. I was left alone in Middle Earth, finding myself far too young and not world wise enough to leave the lands I had grown up in behind.
I tried to resume my travels but, try as I might, I could not shake a deep seated guilt, a feeling that my parents had left me because I was not close to them enough. Ever since, I have found it hard to leave Imladris, and, when I do, it is for very short periods. So here I am stuck, for now, I fear."

rp sample,Eran had always been a reader. Especially now that she was left with no family in Middle Earth, she had found herself absorbed in the libraries that Elrond's palace had to offer. The books varied in subject, from fiction to romance to history, and she found the balconies on the edges of the palace gave a very serene environment to read in. She glided down the hallways from the library to the balconies, perfectly at ease in her surroundings.
She had grown up there, lived there, and would most likely have this place be her last sight of Middle Earth. Every curve of the palace was familiar to her, every stone have a place somewhere in the memories of her childhood. But that had been so long ago, in a time she nearly forgot existed. When you lived as long as her kind did, time eventually became only relative.
She found a place on one of the balconies, overlooking the waterfalls and rivers that surrounded the white stone, the only sounds those of birds chirping and the water crashing against rocks and the banks. She took up a position on one of the benches, pulling her legs up underneath the skirts of her deep green dress and opened the book on her lap. She began to read, her hands caressing the old, worn pages carefully.
As she read, half of her conscience concentrated on the book, the other half concentrated on her surroundings. The warrior in her never missed anything, always perceptive and ready to spring into action. So when a set of footsteps on the stone floors came into her hearing range, she was not surprised. She did not look up as the figure came closer, even as they were close enough that she could see the figure out of the corner of her eye. "Can I help you?" She asked softly, still not looking up from her book.
