personality,
Galadriel is a kind and loving person, who usually puts others before herself. She is kind to all those she meets and would never dream of hurting anyone. She loves easily, but only shows it some of the time. She is caring and is always ready to offer a smile to those who need it. She is always ready to listen if someone needs a confidant. She is compassionate to all those she meets and does not hesitate to lend a hand when needed.
As a Ringbearer, Galadriel also has a darker side to her personality. She was entrusted with the Ring Nenya, and it is a heavy burden to bear. Carrying the ring gives her a latent desire for power that she works hard to conceal. But she works hard to overcome the darkness the ring brings and be a loving and compassionate person.
Galadriel can also be a little vain. She is beautiful and she knows it. She can spend hours brushing out her long golden hair, adding to its silkiness and shine. She always tries to look her best.
But she is also wise. As one of the eldest of all sentient being currently in Middle Earth, she has a great deal of knowledge and the wisdom to match. She has long given advice to the younger of her kin and even to Men on occasion.

history,
Galadriel was born in Valinor in what is known as the Years of the Trees, long before the First Age of Middle Earth began. Her father was the King of the Elves of Noldor and her mother was a Princess of the Elves of Telari. She participated in the Rebellions of Noldor for a while, but stayed ut of most of the fighting.
Later on she went to live with her distant family at the court of Thingol in Beleriand. She met her husband, Celeborn, when she went to live in Doriath, during the First Age. All of her brothers were killed in various battles against the Dark Lord Morgoth in the First Age, but she played little part in those wars.
During the Second Age, Galadriel and Celeborn traveled first to Lindon, where they ruled over a group of elves under the jurisdiction of the Elf-King Gil-Galad. Later they moved farther westward to establish the small realm of Eregion, near the dwarven settlement of Moria. The left an Elf called Celebrimbor in charge of Eregion and travled through Kazad-dum to Lothlorien, to become its Lord and Lady. While in Lorien, they had a daughter named Celebrian, who later went on to marry Elrond of Rivendell and gave them three grandchildren, Elladan, Elohir and Arwen.
Sometime during this Age, Sauron, disguised as Annatar, Giver of Gifts, aided in the forging of the Rings of Power, three of which were given to the Elves. Galadriel herself did not trust Annatar, even before his treachery was revealed and did not use her Ring, Nenya, while Sauron had his Ring.
But when the Ring is lost in the Third Age, Galadriel puts hers to good use securing the borders of Lothlorien, and keeping her domain safe. Galadriel does not openly oppose Sauron until later in the Third Age, when she forms The White Council, of which Gandalf is also a member.
When the Fellowship of the Ring come to Lothlorien after their trials in the mines of Moria, she hosts them and gives them gifts to help them on the rest of their journey.

rp sample,Galadriel leaned gently on the railing of the gilded balcony that overlooked much of her forest kingdom. The balcony jutted off her own palace, which clung to one of the tallest, broadest and oldest trees in Lorien. She looked out at the houses and halls and other buildings that clung to the surrounding trees. The beauty of the scene was breathtaking. It was a sight few but the elves that lived her got to see. Rarely did a traveler pass through these parts.
But the night before last, she had seen the future in her mirror. Wary travelers would soon arrive. And one of them carried the most hated and feared object in the land. The One Ring. The brought great peril with them, but the challenges that had faced and were yet to face were great and the least she could do for a fellow Ringbearer was offer him food and shelter.
Galadriel picked up her brush from the table beside her and slowly brush her long golden hair as she sung slowly in the language of the elves. As she did so she continued to admire the scene before her. In the growing twilight, the forest looked surreal and seemed to almost glow. She counted herself fortunate to live in such a beautiful place.
