Peregrin (Pippin) Took
"You need people of intelligence on this sort of... mission... quest... thing."
full name, Peregrin Took
nicknames, Pippin, Pip, Fool of a Took (oh but Gandalf really loves him so much)
age, Twenty-eight years old. A "tween" as they'd call it, since hobbits don't reach maturity until their thirties.
class/profession, Hobbit! They're their own sort of.. well they are! He's a Took, and that makes him fairly upper-class for the Shirefolk. He doesn't have to do a whole lot. So he just really does what he'd like.
marital status, Single
race, Hobbit
alliance, Pippin's a member of the fellowship of the ring
hair, Pippin's hair is stringy, spirally, and curly as the next hobbit's, a golden blond in color and reaching about his neck the way it is right now. The front bit's cut shorter so that it covers his forehead but doesn't get in the way of seeing things.
eyes, He's got big blue oval shaped eyes.
build and body, Pippin stands at 3'2 1/2, which he considers a nice good height even though he's a little shorter than Frodo, Sam, and Merry. He's really sort of skinny, if you take into consideration how much he eats, but of course, he's not nearly eating enough now that they're on a quest with people who've never even heard of second breakfast.
anything else, Nothing to report.
face claim, Billy Boyd

fears, Well, this whole situation he's in, one would think is a bit fearful. Running around and being almost killed by things on a regular basis, having a sword you don't know how to use, and having no idea if when you get back -if you get back- the Shire's still going to be on one piece.
dreams, To go back home to the Shire, lay about all day, smoke as much pipeweed as he can, and pull pranks with Merry
personality,Pippin is very carefree, even for the standards of a hobbit, having known little all his life but fun and games. He's a very positive, upbeat character, always willing to chime in and cheer others up when they're most in need (and sometimes -especially- even when they aren't).
He enjoys having a good time and a good laugh and being surrounded by his friends and family. It's even better when there's good food to eat and songs to sing. He never really had ambitions of going or seeing anything outside the Shire but at the same time, he was never quiet as sedentary as some other hobbits, always running around getting into trouble and having little adventures of his own.
He was seen by many as quiet a nuisance, loud and curious and usually poking his nose right in where it doesn't belong. He tends to be terrible when people tell him not to do something. Its like, really saying "do it", just in more words. He especially hates when he's kept from knowing something that everyone else is very much 'in' on.
As Gandalf likes to say, he's a 'fool of a Took'. Where his sisters are all really very smart, Pippin's a little bit more preoccupied doing what he wants to do than what he should. He doesn't necessarily think before acting or opening his mouth, and the fact that he's younger and less mature than his friends isn't hard to tell.
In the same regard, Pippin's untimely youth might be one of his best merits. He has a very strong, optimistic spirit and though he may easily grow fearful or weary it does not take much to have him jumping back to his eager self. He has a lot of faith in the improbable- and someone has to.

father, Paladin Took (thain of the Shire)
mother, Eglantine Banks
siblings, Oi oi oi, three older sisters. Pearl Took, Pimpernel Took, and Pervinca Took. P. It's a good letter, isn't it?
other figures, Merry's his best friend and cousin. Frodo's a more distant cousin but Pippin likes to think they're close too. The Took clan has a lot of relations, some Pip isn't even sure about, but well, they're still important, because a Shire party wouldn't be a Shire party without them!
lineage, The Shire
history,Pippin's life prior to the Fellowship was little different than another hobbit's, save maybe that he was in some regards considered a very noble hobbit, and in many regards could be considered a troublemaking hobbit, always seeking out fun things to do with Merry (and anyone else they could drag along - Sam was always a fun one to mess with) and poking his nose into the business of other hobbits (and other other things). This nose poking however, came in well in handy when he happened upon a departing Frodo and Sam, and ended up accompanying them to the edge of the Shire, and after encounters with point-proving trees and Ringwraths, all the way to Rivendell.
In Rivendell, he did his fair share of exploring, and ended up eavesdropping with Merry on the counsel of Elrond, and smoothly (kind of) offering his services (or well, saying that he'd go regardless of who told him he couldn't... and Elrond was very adamant about that). Though he was dissuaded do to his age (and possibly eavesdropping on a top secret counsel) he did set out with the Fellowship and proved quickly to be as much of an asset as he was an annoyance to Gandalf (um... in his opinion).
alias, Phips
age, 14
experience, 1 year
other characters, Legolas and Espen
rp sample,Running towards them with his mace? Pippin followed the other hobbit's eyes."Oh I don't know about that, Sam,"he waved off the concern, "He seems pretty busy with the goblins to me." He watched as Ash skillfully took down one goblin after another. He may not have been Strider, but Pippin reckoned that he put up as good as a fight. As another thought made its way up to his mind and he wrinkled his nose and nodded back at Sam solemnly. "Could have left us in the rockslide too, if he really wanted to be done with us. I mean that's awful good behavior for a prisoner and we don't even know what he did wrong." It was true. Ash had sort of just.. ended up with them. He didn't know the whole story, but he knew that if he'd done anything really bad, Strider and Gandalf wouldn't have allowed him so much freedom. He hadn't done anything wrong. In fact, Pippin thought he did something quite, saving his and Sam's lives and all.
He bit down on his lip, not completely settled by but with nothing else to hope for than what Sam replied to him about the others. If they were okay, they had Strider and Legolas and Boromir and Gimli and Gandalf, and none of those people would ever let anything happen to Merry and Frodo. If he and Sam could manage with just themselves and Ash surely the other group would be just fine."You're probably right." Probably. His eyebrow quirked up as Sam started panicking about his sword. "You probably didn't have your bag closed well- oh that's clever!" While he was speaking Sam had pulled out his frying pan and though normally he'd tease his friend about this (or ask him to make breakfast), he couldn't think of a better weapon to brandish when your sword was..somewhere else.
But then Sam was gone. Going off to fight goblins. "Oi.." They certainly couldn't have expected him to stay by himself. Sure, Ash had told them too but Sam hadn't listened, and Samwise was the responsible one. Pippin hardly ever listened, and he certainly never stayed put when there was exciting things going on. He held up the sword in one hand and the flaming tentacle in the other and edged a few steps closer to where Sam and Ash were. Some of the goblins were slipping past their line of defense and coming towards him. He imagined he had to look an awful lot like a real adventurer right now, waiting for them like that. He swung at the first one that tried to attack him, catching it in the neck."I got one!" his eyes went wide and he grinned as it fell to the floor. He needed to tell Merry. Show Merry. As soon as they got out...Which would happen... Because it had to.
credit to phips, don't steal!
